The Helmholtz Research School supports the national and international scientific research in heavy-ion and hadron physics.
It is funded by the Initiative and Networking Fund of the Helmholtz Association and is a cooperation between the Gesellschaft
fuer Schwerionenforschung (GSI), Darmstadt, the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) and the physics department of
the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt.
TOPNEWS - Power Week on Energy Loss
In the first joint Power Week of H-QM and the high pT working group of the
ALICE experiment at CERN-LHC the participants got familiar with QCD and energy
loss mechanisms in a week of hands-on excercises. M. v. Leeuwen (Utrecht) and Andreas Morsch
(CERN) gave lectures and prepared the tasks.
